The Next 10

As I’ve been thinking about what the next few weeks of this blog are going to look like, I’ve brainstormed, planned, visualized – but nothing seemed to stick. So, I’ve decided to put my ideas out there and let you, the readers, tell me what you want to hear more about! These are 10 tentative ideas for the next 10 posts, fire away with the comments and feedback! If there’s something you want to hear about that I didn’t list, be sure to let your ideas be heard!

1. Etsy

The creative marketplace, Etsy is the go-to online business tool for artists and creatives. .

2. Online Gaming

Ever been to Miniclip? In this post we’d explore how online games are a part of the art world.

3. DIY

If you’re crafty, (or would like to be,) this post is for you! We’ll look at some great DIY projects to try ourselves.

4. Fan Art

Let’s face it – we’re all secretly dedicated fans of something, be it movie, novel, artwork, sports team, etc… in this post, we’ll look at the expansive world of fan art and it’s internet presence.

5. YouTube

More than just a place for people to post video rants or tutorials or whatever stupid thing they did on a unicycle, YouTube is a vehicle for artists to share their work. How? We’ll take a look in this post!

6. Online Photo Culture

Do you have an Instagram, Snapchat, use an online photo editor, or post photos to facebook? Our culture, particularly on the internet, is becoming increasingly visual and image based. What does the world of the online photo look like? We’ll take a look!

7. Another DIY!

For some more hand-made inspiration, another DIY to get the creative juices flowing from internet inspiration.

8. Bandcamp

An exploration of the auditory arts, bandcamp is the go-to for musicians. We’ll look at the vast world of freely posted musical creations and listen to some talented artists!

9. Pinterest

This platform has come up on nearly every one of my posts, and for good reason – Pinterest is the new king of online visuals. I go to Pinterest any time I need inspiration, and I use it more frequently than a google search on some days! How is Pinterest shaping up in the world of online culture? Let’s find out!

10.hitRECord

You may not have heard of this collaborative production company, but it’s becoming big news – hitRECord uses work from artists of any discipline and promotes collaboration to create live shows, videos, and now a brand new TV show. Anybody can get involved, artist or not, to remix, refine, revise, re-record, and create!
